We are a group of around 30 student engineers, business students, and many more! At Texas Guadaloop, we design, build, and test scaled-down Hyperloop pods, and enter international competitions. Hyperloop is essentially a vacuum tube, designed to transport passengers and cargo. Our pod represents the base of the Hyperloop system. This is where levitation, propulsion, suspension, electronics, and controlling software are that are required for Hyperloop to function.
At Texas Guadaloop, we not only focus on developing Hyperloop technology, but also on developing professional engineers. We present engineers with real engineering problems and practices and use industry-standard software and techniques to ensure students are prepared post-graduation. This is also a very good management practice and deals with accounting, marketing, and corporate relations as well.
Check out our short video explaining the Hyperloop idea and what we are doing here at Texas Guadaloop.
Why a Hyperloop?
WHAT IF YOU COULD GET 2 YEARS OF YOUR LIFE BACK?
Driving is a full-time job (literally). Americans spend 350 hours on the road each year, equivalent to 2 years behind the wheel in their lifetime. If time is money, then hyperloop pays you to move faster. And who wants to waste 2 years of their life being miserable behind the wheel?
Besides wasting time, Americans consume 143.43 billion gallons of gasoline a year on average.
We are building a system that will allow you to travel from L.A to San Francisco or Austin to Dallas in 25 minutes without using any gasoline.

OUR TEAM: UT Austin Hyperloop Engineering
Our team is organized into two sides: engineering and business. Any team member is able to do any work they choose. We have a head of engineering and a head of business, who act as co-presidents, and each subsystem has a team lead that focuses on their respective system. Each of these leads works with their team and other leads to carry out the build.
